Tuesday 31st March

Hello again boys and girls. I hope you are all keeping well and being good for your Mammies and Daddies.

I have been watching the RTE Home School Hub on RTE2 at 11.00am in the mornings. Although it is aimed at older children, I still think it worthwhile for you to watch.

I know that the work I set you is starting to run out so here are some links to give you lots of new things to explore and learn. (You might need Mammy or Daddy’s help with this.)

The first link is to help practise your blending skills. There are lots of games and activities for you to try. If you could do one activity a day that would be a great start!

The second link contains reading materials at the bottom of the website based on all the letter sounds that you have learned in school. If you could read one a day that would be super!

I want you to continue completing one page of your handwriting copies each week. Take care and do a great job!.

I want you to continue with your little maths workbook. Take your time and do your best.

Remember that the padlet from last week contains math’s websites to help with your addition.

Senior Infants are reminded to continue with their weekly spelling test and practise their spellings each day. Mammy or Daddy can give you a little test on Friday like we would normally have in school.

I also want you to continue reading one list each week from your Fry Word Weekly List.

Please take care boys and girls and try to help your parents as best you can. Be patient and be kind. I miss you all.

Remember to wash your hands often!

Hello boys and girls!  I hope you are really well and are doing your best at home.  I miss you and I am looking forward to seeing you all very soon.

I just want to leave a little message for your Mammies and Daddies about some work you can be doing while you are at home. You are all very good boys and girls and I know you will try your best to do a little bit of school work.  Don't forget to play and run around in the fresh air too!

Please check out this Padlet with lots of resources:

Keep reading your readers and working on your tricky words. It is very important you read EVERY day.

Practice blending your words lists.

Continue your letter formation and writing in your handwriting copy.

CJFallon has all of their readers available online for viewing: All the Core readers are available on this site.
Also the children's Book Sounds like Phonics workbook with games and activities is on this site too.
It takes a bit of navigating but once you register it is an excellent resource to have.
There is a link on the main blog page.

Another excellent website is from Scholastic and it includes  Day-by-day projects to keep children reading and thinking.
