Hello
again boys and girls! I hope you had a lovely Easter break and that you and
your family are keeping well. Life is so unusual for us all at the minute and
parents are doing a great job despite all the difficulties we are faced with. I
have made a timetable for the week below, but it is important to know that this
is suggested work – complete as much as you can.
Outside
of the books other areas are beneficial to work on such as fine motor work
with Lego, cutting activities, shaping playdoh and tidying up small toys. Lots
of imaginative free play will enhance learning too. Here is a Lego 30 day challenge for you to work on - just click on the picture to view a bigger version.
Starting
on Monday TG4 are showing lessons as Gaeilge called ‘CĂșla4 ar scoil’ at
10.00am. Some aspects of the programme will be useful for younger viewers also.
Although
you don’t have your maths books home with you, CJ Fallon has provided free
online access to their books and activities. This week I have suggested some
work using Busy at Maths which can be found below. A guide to use CJ Fallon’s
website is at the end should you need it. These activities are really short and
interactive like colouring in or dragging letters to make a word – so will not
take long to complete.
If you have a spare copy at
home, it would be a good idea to use this to practise your handwriting each
day. Write a line about something you did today.
Remember to wash your hands often, be kind to each other and help Mammy and Daddy. I miss you all, Mrs O'Neill
