Hello again boys and girls, I hope you and your
families are all well. Thank you for
sending me some of your work last week. I
was very impressed with the great effort that you have all been making. There was some fantastic handwriting, maths
and very creative drawings. Some of you
are even writing letters to each other, what a brilliant idea!!!
This week I have included a story about a rainbow fish. I think you will enjoy this story. It reminds us about the importance of sharing
with each other. There is also some SPHE
which invites you to draw your friend-ship! This should be fun.
Our SESE this week includes some information about
the dolphin. The poem I have chosen is
called ‘The Rainbow fish’ just like our story.
You will also find our usual maths, Irish games and English reading for
you to try.
I can’t wait to see more of your amazing work next
week. Keep helping Mammy and Daddy at home, be kind and caring to each other, get
plenty of fresh air and play lots of games outdoors. Most importantly keep up the handwashing!
Take care,
Mrs. O’Neill
Our story this week is The Rainbow Fish written by Marcus Pfister.

Once you have listened to the story, try answering the following questions:
1. How did the Rainbow Fish feel about sharing?
2. What did the other fish think about the Rainbow Fish?
3. Who did the Rainbow Fish ask for help?
4. How does he feel at the end of the story?
5. Did you ever have something that someone else wanted? What did you do?
6. Draw and colour a Rainbow Fish! If you can print at home, click below for a bigger version.
